Visiting formulas for the port

The Port Centre organises various excursions to discover the vibrant world of the harbour. Coming face-to-face with the reality of the harbour is the main thing. Getting close up to the harbour and its ships, meeting its people and the work carried out in the harbour area is obviously the best way to learn about and to value the harbour.

In conjunction with the Port Centre a number of excursion targets have been selected which you will visit with an experienced harbour guide. These take into account the membership of the group. So you can discover how conventional individual pieces or bulk goods are handled, how containers are loaded and unloaded, or how the harbour is connected to its hinterland. During the tour you will visit various enterprises, see different storage facilities and dock frontage and warehouses and you will get to know the largest industrial complex in Belgium. The guided tours of the harbour area are followed by a visit to the permanent exhibition in our building.

The Port Centre organises these excursions for educational, commercial and social/cultural organisations. Each group is accompanied by an experienced harbour guide, who are available in 4 languages: Dutch, French, English or German.
