About LogAnt
Dear Visitor,
You have just made your acquaintance, through this website, with the fascinating world of logistics. But there are two parts to the LogAnt project: the website you are now visiting and a beautifully illustrated book. Like the website, the book contains four chapters that take the reader on a journey through the world of logistics and is suitable for a wide audience. We can highly recommend this book to those with both an advanced and a newly aroused interest in “ Antwerp” logistics.
How to use this book?
The LogAnt book offers the reader the opportunity to follow the logistic leitmotif of the themes, but also, in combination with the site itself, to plan a logistic voyage of discovery. Current topics, recent data and interactive maps are available for many topics on the website and can be found in the book as well.
Are you keen to find out more about a topic that has aroused your interest? In the margins of the book, there is a three-letter code (for example: GFP). When you enter this in the search space of the LogAnt site, you will be taken to a web page that further explains this theme. On this web page, apart from basic information, you will also be able to obtain additional data with a single mouse click. The LogAnt book is a reliable guide, allowing you to choose how far your voyage of discovery in the accompanying website will lead.
Who?
LogAnt came into being as a joint project of the province of Antwerp and the University of Antwerp. The years of expertise of the Institute of Transport and Maritime Management Antwerp (ITMMA) and the Lillo Port Centre, together with various logistic institutions were combined and have given shape to an easily accessible book and its accompanying interactive website.
Are you interested in ordering this book? You can do so by sending an email to info@logant.provant.be. The price of the book is €25.00, and shipping costs for Belgium amount to €4.00.
