Far beyond national borders, the province of Antwerp is referred to as an important key region for European and global logistics. This subject is highly topical with regard to all welfare and mobility issues, but has seldom been brought to the attention of the general public. With the project entitled ‘LogAnt: province of Antwerp, a world of logistics’, the province of Antwerp is seeking to do something to change this and is offering the visitor to this website and the reader of the accompanying book a clear insight into the fascinating world of logistics and how the province of Antwerp fits into all of this. We already wish you an exciting logistics world voyage!

On this website, you will find three major themes that will familiarise you with logistic concepts and developments. The first part gives an overview of global developments and events that have been decisive for the contemporary logistics chain. The second theme examines the current trends of markets and players in greater depth: what ideas and possibilities are there? Finally, in the third theme, the province of Antwerp bridges both previous themes: what global trends and factors do we recognise? What strengths and challenges are there?

The website has been constructed with the intention of getting you acquainted with the logistics activity within the province as a leitmotif. The LogAnt book constantly offers references to topical themes that can be encountered on this site. However, the website also offers you the chance to go on a voyage of discovery into this fascinating world of logistics yourself and to steer your own course...

This project came into being on the initiative of the Lillo Port Centre and was funded in the framework of a cooperation agreement between the province of Antwerp and the University of Antwerp.
