With the class in the Zilvermeer

Woods, water and sand

At the Zilver classes one or two classes work one week at the Zilvermeer on topics such as woods, water and sand. The maximum number of participants is 50. You stay overnight at the bivouac building.

Students do not only get to know nature, they also experience nature. This experience-oriented approach is one of the strengths of the Zilvermeer and the Ecocentrum [eco centre] De Goren, with which the Zilver classes closely cooperate.

A broad and diverse offer, with specially adapted programs.

The Zilvermeer is known for its organised sports days. Our range is broad and diverse: wall climbing, speleobox, mountain biking, orientation running, beach volleyball, beach football, baseball, bowls, wood and beach trophy, adventuring trophy, rowing, pedal boating and the Zilvermeer trophy, … This is just a selection from the possibilities that we can offer in the field of sports.

In consultation with the group, the entertainment service puts together a program that is tuned to the number of participants and their age. The activities are led by one monitor per 25 participants.

You could summarise the aims of Ecocentrum De Goren as making nature accessible again for everyone. Via various activities, we try to bring nature closer to the people, and the other way around.

Exceptional themed exhibitions

In Ecocentrum De Goren we regularly put on new themed exhibitions, which regularly excel through a somewhat self-willed approach.

As well as themed exhibitions there are fixed group activities for children and adults, nature walks, ...

On the way with the passenger boat Zander

At vzw Atlantis you can book your boat trips on the passenger boat Zander. You have the choice between a short trip with a guide through the old sluices, or a boat trip that lasts the whole day. Amusement guaranteed!
