Many hands make light work

Arboretum Kalmthout is what it is today thanks to the many helping hands that have worked, often selflessly, for years. Today we can still always count on a large, enthusiastic group of volunteers. 

It is thanks to these people that large projects and new initiatives are completed successfully. 

Volunteers help with the most varied activities. 

• Washing up in the kitchen of the cafeteria.
• Labelling, potting and repotting plants.
• Harvesting and cleaning seeds.
• Tagging collection plants.
• Following up phenological observations.
• Weeding and mulching plants.
• Maintaining the nursery.
• Setting up exhibitions.
• …  

Varied range of jobs

If you have the time and the inclination, you can always join our team of volunteers. After all there are never enough helping hands. There are more or less three different groups: 

• weekend team for the kitchen of the cafeteria 
• week team for the plant centre and harvesting seeds 
• week team for upkeep of the garden
