Arboretum Kalmthout mainly survives on its own income from ticket sales, the plant centre, the gift & bookshop and the cafeteria. As far as operating costs are concerned, we rely almost 100 percent on this income.
As far as staffing costs are concerned, we can count on various employment programmes that cover 40 to 50 percent of these costs.
Extra funds are required
Quercus phellos
Extra funds are required for new projects in the arboretum garden and the training of students. It is thanks to gifts from supporters that Arboretum Kalmthout is able to achieve its goals.
