The best period

It is difficult to say what is the best period for visiting the garden as any time is good. 

The winter-flowering plants make January and February unique and unsurpassed. Later on the fragile blossoms of the ornamental cherries take you into Easter time and the rhododendrons add colour to the darker corners of the arboretum garden. In summer it is mainly the gardens of colour, the butterfly garden and the hydrangeas that attract your attention, followed in the autumn by autumn colours and lots of fruit.

The flowering calendar is just an indication or an average. The times at which particular plants actually flower depend on the weather conditions.   

Make several visits
